Brianna LeCompte

I still remember attending my first Trivia night back in 2013. A group of my coworkers were discussing some options for happy hour venues and when we saw that a spot down the street was hosting a Trivia Night, we decided to go for it. I was instantly hooked. When the opportunity arose to join the Last Call team, I was ecstatic. Working with a talented and creative team to spread my love of trivia across the country-what could be better! I currently manage sales and outreach in our west coast areas. Outside of work, I love to travel and am also an avid equestrian and Disney movie lover. All Posts

Podcast Episode 54 Round 1

Round One

First up, we have a Words Trivia question about a word that has separate meanings, depending on whether it’s used as a noun or a verb. To test your knowledge further, be sure to check out episode #39 of the podcast next for a theme round all about words!

Next, we have a Food Trivia question about a type of cheese that takes its name from a Neapolitan verb. Much like this cheese, America’s favorite food – pizza – also traces its origins back to Naples.

The first round concludes with a Sports Trivia question about a professional sports team that takes its name from a legend about resident Mother Leeds. Speaking of sports-related names, do you know how Babe Ruth earned his now-famous nickname?

Bonus Question

Today’s Bonus Question is a follow-up to the Sports question from the first round. The Team is asked to guess how tall the league’s championship trophy is in inches. They pull from several visual references to formulate their guess, but would you encourage them to go higher or lower? Listen in and let us know!

Round Two

Who’s ready for a Trivia Tour?? Grab your passports, because in today’s theme round, we’re exploring Africa Trivia!

The second round begins with a Countries Trivia question about one of two African countries that have a variation of the continent’s name in its own name. If you need a quick mental layover while you think, check out these fun facts about the famous German landmark, Neuschwanstein Castle.

Next up is an Animals question that challenges the Team to complete the analogy: kangaroos are to Australia as lemurs are to what? Looking for more Trivia about African animals? Click here to learn more about the world’s fastest land animal, the cheetah.

Round Two concludes with a Geography Trivia question about the sea into which the Nile River flows. Despite its association with Egypt, did you know that only 22% of the Nile’s course runs through Egypt?

Final Question

We’ve reached the Final Question of the game, and today’s category of choice is Companies. We’re on our way to headquarters!

The Trivia Team is given four retain chains and asked to name the U.S. state in which they’re each headquartered. Several players have lived close to a few on the list, but can you help them sweep all four? Tune in to compare your notes with the Team!
