I still remember attending my first Trivia night back in 2013. A group of my coworkers were discussing some options for happy hour venues and when we saw that a spot down the street was hosting a Trivia Night, we decided to go for it. I was instantly hooked. When the opportunity arose to join the Last Call team, I was ecstatic. Working with a talented and creative team to spread my love of trivia across the country-what could be better! I currently manage sales and outreach in our west coast areas. Outside of work, I love to travel and am also an avid equestrian and Disney movie lover. All Posts

Podcast Episode 44 Round 1

Round One

We kick off today’s show with a Beer Trivia question about a slang term for a popular brand of beer. Need a hint? The answer is also the second-best-selling beer in America.

Next, an Actor Link Trivia question challenges the Team to name the character that has been played by three specific actresses. Spoiler alert: One of the movies featuring this character is one of just three movies in history to win the “Big Five” Academy Awards.

The first round wraps up with a Food Trivia question about a highly coveted McDonald’s sauce originally released in 1998 to promote the Disney animated film, Mulan. If you’re still hungry to learn more, be sure to check out episode #37 of the podcast for a theme round of Fast Food Trivia!

Bonus Question

Today’s Bonus Question is a follow-up to the Food question from the first round. The Team is asked to guess how many seconds the average McDonald’s drive-through transaction takes. One member of the Team points out that eagle-eyed visitors may even be able to spot a timer inside the drive-through window, which they use as their baseline for formulating a guess. Do you think they’re close enough to earn a point? Listen in and see if you agree with their logic!

Our first stop is a Geography Trivia question that challenges the Team to identify the country that’s home to the closest city to Antarctica. There’s some debate amongst the players about the correct answer, so let us know which answer you would have voted for. And if you need a bit more time to think, here are some fascinating facts about some of the world’s most interesting ecosystems to peruse while you ponder.

Next, we have a Dances Trivia question about a Brazilian dance craze from the 1950s that got its Portuguese name because it was literally the hot “new trend.” Spoiler alert: Here’s a breakdown of the steps to this dance, in case you’re looking for your next opportunity to go viral on TikTok!

Round Two concludes with a Movies Trivia question about a popular 1978 film that’s title was translated to Vaseline in Argentina. If you’re ready to challenge yourself with more questions about movies, check out episode #14 of the podcast for a theme round of Tom Hanks Trivia!
