I still remember attending my first Trivia night back in 2013. A group of my coworkers were discussing some options for happy hour venues and when we saw that a spot down the street was hosting a Trivia Night, we decided to go for it. I was instantly hooked. When the opportunity arose to join the Last Call team, I was ecstatic. Working with a talented and creative team to spread my love of trivia across the country-what could be better! I currently manage sales and outreach in our west coast areas. Outside of work, I love to travel and am also an avid equestrian and Disney movie lover. All Posts

Podcast Episode 16 Round 1

Round One

Today’s show starts off with a Food Trivia question about a popular children’s cereal and mascot, which were both developed to solve a common complaint about this breakfast food. While we’re on the subject, did you know that a recent survey found that cereal was the most popular breakfast food in America?

Next up, we have an Animals Trivia question that touches on a rare lobster with a name inspired by a sweet treat. Spoiler alert: Click here to see what this elusive, uniquely colored lobster looks like.

Round One concludes with a Music Trivia question about three rock legends who sadly joined the “Forever 27 Club” within a year of each other. While she wasn’t a member of this particular club, click here to learn more about iconic entertainer Judy Garland, who passed away at the age of 47.

Bonus Question

Today’s Bonus Question is a follow-up to the Music Trivia question in Round One. Unfortunately, many talented entertainers have passed away at the age of 27, hence the “Forever 27 Club.” The Trivia Team is asked to guess how many entertainers are listed in the Hall of Fame of the Forever 27 Club website. Spoiler alert: Here’s the full list as it appears on the site.

Podcast Episode 16 Round 2

Round Two

It’s time for our Theme Round of the game, and today we’re testing our knowledge with Etymology Trivia. Do you know the origin stories behind these words? Let’s find out!

Round Two starts with a Science Trivia question that asks the Trivia Team to identify a bonding material that’s name comes from a Latin phrase. While it’s no longer spoken as any nation’s official language, there are a number of Latin phrases that are still widely used. Here are a few of them to brush up on!

Next, we have a Words Trivia question, which is fitting given the theme. You may have a shot at this question if you’re familiar with Greek, or if you’re an avid fan of this type of live performance. Speaking of performances, here are some fun facts about a few of the most successful Broadway musicals of all time.

Round Two concludes with a Companies Trivia question that has our Team feeling pretty stumped. Do you know the French word for “nightingale”? Are you familiar with winter sports gear? If so, the players could definitely use your help on this one! Spoiler alert: Did you know this company partnered with luxury fashion house Balmain to create a limited-edition line of skiwear?

Final Question

It’s time to wrap up the game with a multi-part Final Question in the category of Television. In today’s Final, the Trivia Team is asked to name the state where the majority of episodes for four popular TV shows took place.

It’s a nail-biter of a question, as half of the answers come to our players quickly and the other half are cause for more of a debate. Can you help the Team come up with all four correct answers? Tune in and find out! And if you’re in the mood for more Television Trivia after the game is over, check out this article on the lasting legacy of The Twilight Zone.
