I still remember attending my first Trivia night back in 2013. A group of my coworkers were discussing some options for happy hour venues and when we saw that a spot down the street was hosting a Trivia Night, we decided to go for it. I was instantly hooked. When the opportunity arose to join the Last Call team, I was ecstatic. Working with a talented and creative team to spread my love of trivia across the country-what could be better! I currently manage sales and outreach in our west coast areas. Outside of work, I love to travel and am also an avid equestrian and Disney movie lover. All Posts

Podcast Episode 21 Round 1

Round One

We kick off the game with a Words Trivia question that has a tie-in to a popular comedy film from the 1980s. And to all the serious wordsmiths out there, be sure to check out episode #16 of the Podcast for an entire theme round of Word Origins Trivia!

Next up, a People Trivia question challenges the Trivia Team to name the actor and musician who composed the theme song for several popular television shows. While this multi-talented individual wasn’t an EGOT winner himself, his array of skills would have made him a potential contender for the club.

The round concludes with a Presidents Trivia question about the only U.S. president to have been named Time Person of the Year prior to being elected. For more presidential Trivia, click here to learn about the shortest-serving U.S. president.

Bonus Question

Today’s Bonus Question dives deeper into the history of the Person of the Year selections. The Team is asked to give their best guess at how many times someone who served as President of the United States was named the Time Person of the Year. Oh and by the way, did you know that YOU have been the Time Person of the Year?? Check it out!

Round Two

Whether you’re team “road trip” or team “catching flights,” we’ve got a little something for everyone with a theme round of Transportation Trivia! Tune in and let’s go on this journey together.

Round Two starts with a Cars Trivia question about a luxury vehicle brand that recently switched to an all-SUV lineup. Spoiler alert: Here’s a look at the SUV models that are named in the question.

Next, we have a Companies Trivia question about a travel trailer whose shape was inspired by designs by Hawley Bowlus, the man who oversaw the construction of Charles Lindbergh’s aircraft, the Spirit of St. Louis. Speaking of Charles Lindbergh, did you know he was the first-ever Time Person of the Year (or at that time, Man of the Year)? We love a callback!

Round Two concludes with an Aviation Trivia question about the world’s oldest continuously operated airport. For more aviation history, click here to learn about the surprising contributions Hollywood star Hedy Lamarr made to military plane design.

The Trivia Team is given a list of five novels and asked to determine whether or not each of them was written by the prolific Victorian-era novelist Charles Dickens. Will you make your English teacher proud? Listen in and see whether you can rise to the…Great Expectations ahead!
