Round One
In Round One of today’s game, we kick things off with a Music Trivia question that throws it all the way back to Woodstock. Did you know Creedence Clearwater Revival was the first big-name talent to sign on for Woodstock, which gave the event the credibility to attract other major musicians?
Next up, we have an Inventions Trivia question that tests our Trivia Team’s knowledge of Star Trek terminology. Interested in learning more about iconic science fiction television shows? Click here to check out interesting facts and Trivia about The Twilight Zone.
Round One concludes with an Animals Trivia question that takes our players across the pond to the Tower of London. In addition to the birds in question, the Tower of London is also home to the Crown Jewels, an impressive collection that includes a total of 23,578 gemstones. No wonder the Tower takes all the protection it can get.
Bonus Question
In today’s Bonus Question, the Team gets a chance to follow up on their knowledge about the Tower of London, specifically, when a particular structure began construction. Spoiler alert: it’s very old.
Round Two
The theme of the questions in Round Two of today’s show is Tech Companies Trivia, so it’s time for all you early adopters and gadget gurus to shine!
Round Two kicks off with a Companies Trivia question, which doesn’t narrow the theme down much. But even without much information to go on, the Trivia Team talks their way to the answer by taking note of the names included in the question and deducing that there must be a reason why they were included. A+ for Trivia strategy, Team.
Next, we move on to a Television Trivia question about the iconic game show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Speaking of game shows, did you know there was a short-lived game show based on The Game of Life?
Round Two concludes with a Computers Trivia question about a product flop from Apple. Yes, believe it or not, Apple has indeed had products that flopped. But that hasn’t stopped them from becoming the largest company in the world by market capitalization.
Final Question
We finish off the game with a multi-part Final Question, and the category today is Games. That’s right, it’s officially game night on the Last Call Trivia Podcast!
In today’s Final Question, the Trivia Team is asked to name five board games based on their slogans. The Team confidently guesses a few of the slogans quickly (does the slogan “An Unsolved Mystery with the Usual Suspects” ring a bell?), but others generate more of a debate. Listen in to see how many of them you could have helped the Team guess correctly!
